Office Coordinators

Duties:  Provides secretarial support to clinical staff.  Answers telephone, screens calls, routes appropriately, retrieves and relays messages.  Verifies patient information for registration and insurance verification.  Coordinates patient scheduling internally and externally.  Obtains pre-certification as required by healthcare insurers and/or managed care.  Scans and enters documentation to EMR to substantiate patient treatment and claim submission.  Participates in unit activities to promote patient satisfaction and performance improvement.  Requirements:  High school diploma is required.  1 to 2 years general medical office experience is preferred.

Operations Assistants

Duties:  Responsible for assisting in day to day operations in Medical Oncology provider office. The individual will perform patient and physician scheduling and document management per guidelines. As the Operations Assistant for the clinic, this individual will be required to cross over into the clinical area to provide appropriate assistance. Support front desk, Insurance, financial services and administrative operations when required. Perform task assigned by medical director and management.  Requirements:  High school diploma is required.  Associates degree in Healthcare is preferred.  1 to 2 years general medical office experience is required.  3 to 5 years Certified Nursing Assistant experience is preferred.

Registration Specialists

Duties: The Registration Specialist is responsible for the accurate and efficient registration of patients by gathering and recording patient demographic and insurance data in the computer system. The job includes identification and collection of a patient's co-pay, deductible, deposit, or setting up payment plans.  Requirements:  High school diploma is required.  One year medical insurance knowledge is preferred.
