Our free Movement Disorders Seminar returns Spring 2025

St. Joseph's/Candler and the Institute for Neurosciences Movement Disorders Program is bringing back its annual Movement Disorders Seminar in April 2025. The event will be held in person at the Eckburg Auditorium at Savannah Technical College, 5717 White Bluff Road.

This free Movement Disorders Seminar fosters education, community and promotes useful resources to patients and caregivers to navigate their movement disorder journey. The seminar features educational sessions and access to local health vendors and providers.

When: Friday, April 25, 2025; registration and vendor fair begins at 8:30, program ends at 2:30

Where: Eckburg Auditorium, 5717 White Bluff Road, Savannah, Ga. 31405

Driving directions:

From Bluffton:

  • Take US-278W
  • Take SC-170 W exit
  • Keep left at the fork, follow signs for SC-170 W
  • Turn left onto SC-170 W
  • Slight right toward SC-46 W, continue straight onto SC-315 S
  • Turn left onto Hwy 17 S
  • Take exit 164A for I-516 E/US-80 E towards Lynes Pkwy
  • Keep left to continue on I-516 E, continue on W Derenne Ave
  • Turn right onto White Bluff Rd
  • Turn right at Johnston St
  • Follow drive around to the back of the campus. Eckburg Auditorium is large brick building with a sign at the top. Park anywhere and enter through the front main doors.

From Statesboro:

  • Take GA-67 S
  • Turn left onto the I-16 E ramp
  • Merge onto I-16 E
  • Take exit 164A for I-516E/US-80 E towards Lynes Pkwy
  • Keep left to continue on I-516E, continue on W Derenne Ave
  • Turn right onto White Bluff Rd
  • Turn right at Johnston St
  • Follow drive around to the back of the campus. Eckburg Auditorium is large brick building with a sign at the top. Park anywhere and enter through the front main doors.

From Southside Savannah:

  • Take GA-204 E
  • Use left 2 lanes to turn slightly left toward White Bluff Rd
  • Use any lane to turn left onto White Bluff Rd
  • Turn left onto Johnston St
  • Follow drive around to the back of the campus. Eckburg Auditorium is large brick building with a sign at the top. Park anywhere and enter through the front main doors.

From Candler Hospital/Midtown Savannah:

  • Turn left onto Reynolds Street
  • Turn right onto E Derenne Ave
  • Continue straight onto E Derenne Ave/Wm F Lynes Pkwy
  • Turn left onto White Bluff Rd
  • Turn right at Johnston St
  • Follow drive around to the back of the campus. Eckburg Auditorium is large brick building with a sign at the top. Park anywhere and enter through the front main doors.

This year's keynote speaker

This year's keynote speaker is Dr. John Morgan, professor of neurology, director of the Movement and Memory Disorder Program, director of MCG's Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence, director of the Georgia Memory Net Memory Association Center at Augusta University.
