Like most people, when Pooler resident and The Salt Table shops owner Dave Legasse learned he needed a minimally-invasive heart procedure, he had a lot of questions and some nerves. But just hours after he underwent transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Dave was literally giving a thumbs up. Just a few days later, he was walking for hours a time. Months later, Dave is feeling great and still praises the amazing work of his physicians and the team at The Heart Hospital at St. Joseph's/Candler.
In this video, Dave shares his "fantastic" experience. St. Joseph's/Candler Physician Network Interventional Cardiologist Dr. William Wallace also explains TAVR and how it's beneficial to qualified patients.
