Video: Understanding Palliative Care

November is National Palliative Care month. We thought it would be a great time to explain what palliative care really is and how it's different from hospice care. At St. Joseph's/Candler and the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion, we offer a robust palliative care program that includes a team of physicians, nurses, social workers and pastoral care. Together, they help our cancer patients and sickest patients deal with the day-to-day physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of being sick.
