St. Joseph’s/Candler Lights the Night with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Light The Night® Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide evening walk to increase awareness of blood cancers and raise funds for the cure of, leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.
Each year St. Joseph’s/Candler participates in this fundraiser with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to celebrate and remember cancer patients that have been diagnosed with blood cancers and to increase awareness in the community.
How the Light the Night Event Works
Participants carry illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer.
This year's event is Nov. 14, 2024, with a walk starting at the Park at Eastern Wharf from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The funds raised during this event are used for research and to provide educational and support programs to cancer patients and their families.
