Video: A story of Adinkra symbols told by Gilbert Walker

Gilbert Walker’s years of research into blacksmithing and African art led him to becoming a renowned blacksmith artist himself. It also led him to adinkra, a collection of communicative symbols created centuries ago in West Africa.

Never heard of adinkra? If you're from coastal Georgia or South Carolina, you've probably seen examples of this ancient art your whole life.
