Childbirth is both wondrous and complicated. At the Telfair BirthPlace our experienced, compassionate nurses have helped deliver thousands of babies over the years. They have a wealth of knowledge they want to share with you so we offer classes to help
you prepare for the big day and beyond.
Traditional Childbirth Classes
- Prepared Childbirth Classes: "The Weekender"
- Infant Care (included in the Prepared Childbirth Series)
- Breastfeeding Class
- Tea and Tour of the "Telfair Women's Hospital"

Please note: Starting March 5, 2024, The Weekender and the Breastfeeding classes will be taught at Executive Court, 5105 Paulsen Street, Suite 225D, Savannah, Ga. 31405. Tea & Tour remains on the Candler Hospital campus.
Classes fill quickly, so please sign up early in your pregnancy.
Telfair Baby Mobile App
To make it even more convenient to prepare for your Telfair Baby, the Telfair BirthPlace at St. Joseph’s/Candler has launched a free Telfair Baby app. It covers all sorts of topics throughout pregnancy to labor and delivery to postpartum and newborn
care. The app is available via YoMingo on Apple and Android devices.
